An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.
These detentions follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.
Police detained a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Authorities were called at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.
The assault - which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
