Since the launch of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master the talented storyteller has kept viewers on edge with deep backstory, a colorful mix of personalities, and a exciting storyline showcasing celestial beings, fiends, and malevolent powers increasing in strength within the city.
Note: Revealing details for the latest installment of the new season follow below.
The Warrior Group Revealed
The latest chapter finished on a dramatic pause and presented the premier party of heroes who will separate from the primary party to undertake their separate journey, separate from the remaining groups.
The combat-focused team features the determined fighter (played by Travis Willingham), Thimble (Laura), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).
Dividing the Cast
Given an extensive roster, it was clear from the start that keeping everyone at the same party would be impossible.
That’s why, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, intertwining the individual narratives before splitting into three separate parties: Warriors, Strategists, and Seekers.
The Nature of the Warrior Group
As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for players who prefer a traditionally charged fight-heavy gameplay experience where non-violent answers are few and far between.
At first glance, characters like the squeamish cleric the cleric might look mismatched, but the actions of the latest installment demonstrate why these particular heroes are best suited for the Soldiers table.
Why They Must Go
To begin with, the group has a clear idea where to go next after a intense first encounter with the antagonists.
Casimir of Thjazi—whose death kicked off the campaign’s events—manipulated the foes for his own means, invading the secret base, assaulting the character, and taking all the powerful objects to dispose of.
Casimir then cleared his liabilities and fled to a secure base in the northern region, north of the urban center, with Cyd pursuing him.
Character Drivers
Additionally, each adventurer has a specific drive to depart Dol-Makjar:
- Thimble, as the companion and closest confidant, desires revenge.
- Kattigan has experience in the region and cautions that it is a hostile environment.
- The strong character and Wicander, having defied his relatives’ demands to execute Teor and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
- Yet, their reputation as key figures in House Halovar could assist the group access areas they usually can’t.
- Additionally, Teor vowed a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his deliverance and will now accompany him anywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
Lastly, all of them are wanted by the powers that control Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city no longer safe:
- The agile adventurer and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
- Tyranny and Wicander betrayed the influential house and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
- The fighter is wanted dead by the family.
This leaves them few options but to head to Timmony in search of Casimir.
What’s Next?
