Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Is Aware of Your Season 2 Predictions — And She Has Positive Updates

The highly-awaited second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel launches on the streaming platform this week, and audience theories has been widespread.

Season 1 introduces a large cast of personalities living within the afterlife, sets them at odds with musical numbers about their clashes, and establishes tense rivalries and emotional bonds that drive fan obsession.

The community's expectations for the new season differ greatly, but certain themes recur frequently: Will Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with audience demands as the main goal," the creator commented recently. "However I believe that me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator says her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by the production companies, which finance the series.

That might mean viewers have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how quickly the new season moves, and how many of what they're waiting for unfolds this season.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we get some incredible disclosures, some fascinating origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — particularly in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a couple people create a bingo card about the new season," she mentions. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've already completed a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on Prime Video on October 29.
